Learner of the Year

Stephanie - Learner of the Year 2009

Stephanie joined Coulsdon Sixth Form College in September 2007 with an outstanding set of GCSE results and embarked on a programme leading to A-levels in Theatre Studies, English Literature and Language and History.

Stephanie is an exceptional learner who has both the skills and determination to do well in her studies. She is always willing to share her ideas with others and her contributions during group discussions are incisive, thoughtful and interesting. Additionally, Stephanie's ability to collect, collate and precis material from a diversity of sources, sift them for relevance and thereafter distil the essential kernels of what is important from them has allowed her to develop a highly sophisticated writing style which is always analytical in approach, substantive and convincing.

Stephanie has worked exceptionally hard in her theatre studies and has produced consistently high quality work. This year Stephanie has gained a place in the National Youth Theatre who have recognised her ‘exceptional involvement’ and this will provide an outstanding basis from which Stephanie can approach university or drama school.

Stephanie is an articulate, intelligent, unique, hard working, conscientious, committed and determined individual, who has made an excellent contribution to college life by being an environmental officer. She has achieved her full academic potential because her own commitment and hard work.

Stephanie is also a lovely girl with a brilliant sense of humour. She has many talents of which she is extremely modest. She is highly intelligent and is truly a pleasure to have in class. She has great organisational skills, takes part in all activities both curricular and extra-curricular and is always fully engaged in all class activities. She is truly an asset to Coulsdon Sixth Form College and we confidently predict that Stephanie will achieve A’s in all her subjects.
