Why have our rights to free advice and representation been
eroded? Why are the prisons overcrowded? Law allows for
debate, sometimes heated, as we study the Legal System
and its many complexities and problems. AS Law looks
critically at the people who shape our legal system, from
miscarriages of justice in our criminal courts to problems of
access to the justice in our civil courts. There are mock trials
and visits to the Courts. In the second year, A2 focuses on
one substantive area, Criminal Law where you will study
the intricate details of what amounts to a crime. |
