Health & Social Care

If you want to mix Health and Social Care with other subjects choose this option. If you have an enquiring mind and an interest in the health and social care of people in the community, then this is the course for you. For the dual award 6 units must be studied e.g. Human Growth and Development and Social Aspects and Lifestyle choices. There will be an opportunity for work experience in two of the units. Students should choose a further qualification (e.g. an AS/A Level or skills for life) to complete their timetable.

The GCE AS/A2 Levels in Health and Social Care offers committed students the opportunity to develop skills/knowledge and understanding which will prepare them for progression into a variety of sectors such as nursing and social work.

All students will undergo a CRB check as part of safeguarding legislation.
