Childcare & Education

This course provides an opportunity to gain professional qualifications in Child Care. It will provide candidates with a foundation of knowledge and practice in working with babies and children up to the age of 16 years. It requires the study of a number of modules including The Developing Child, Children and Play and Communication and Professional Skills. The course requires completion of National Assignments and three work experience placements and success in an external exam. Work experience is arranged in a variety of settings. There are work opportunities in a variety of child care settings both here and abroad. On successful completion of the Level 2 course candidates may also progress on to the Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education

All students will undergo a CRB check as part of safeguarding legislation.
