If you want to take your performance and skills to an advanced level then this Level 3 BTEC Extended Diploma is for you. It enables students to reach A Level standard through coursework based assessment. The course is made up of eighteen units - six core units; Performance Workshop, The Performing Arts Business,The Historical Context of Performance, Rehearsing for Performance, Performing to an Audience and Principles in Acting as well as specialist units.

The specialist units enable you to study particular areas in depth. They include TV and Film Acting, Script Writing, Contemporary Theatre Performance and Acting. All units are assessed through practical assignments and graded and an overall grade for the qualification awarded.

This qualification is an excellent preparation for further study in Performing Arts, including study on a degree or HND course. While it is expected that most students would progress onto further study in a related area, the BTEC National Diploma could also be used to support entry to employment.
