Physics

Physics is the fundamental science that lies at the heart of modern engineering, technology and medicine. We are following OCR A specification, with emphasis on concepts and practical skills. The AS units cover mechanics, electricity, waves and quantum effects. The A2 units build on the foundations of AS with further work on mechanics, radioactivity, fields, particle and nuclear physics, capacitor decay and kinetic theory.

There is no coursework, but there are Practical Skills Tests. In addition to the general entry requirements for this subject you will also need at least a Grade B in Maths.
