Unlike other subjects where you need to absorb a large body of
knowledge, Critical Thinking is entirely skills-based. These skills
are all about arguments: recognising, analysing and evaluating
them, skills valued by universities and employers alike. You will
also learn to evaluate the credibility of evidence and develop
skills in explaining and resolving dilemmas, where two points of
view conflict. You will be asked to discuss the issues raised, to
consider whether the arguments presented are valid, and to
develop relevant further arguments of your own. Suitable as a
fourth or fifth subject only.
